Three NHS Students Earn National Merit Commended Students Status
Congratulations to Nonnewaug High School seniors Marat Plmanabhan, Liam Tracy, and Jackson Baskin, who have been recognized as 2027 National Merit Scholarship Commended Scholars for their exceptional performance on the PSAT/NMSQT exam. This honor highlights their outstanding academic proficiency, placing them among the top 3% of high school student-scholars nationwide.
The 2027 National Merit Scholarship Commended recognizes the top 50,000 students who took the PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test as juniors. Commended Students receive a Letter of Commendation from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. These students will also be recognized for this honor at an upcoming Region 14 Board of Education meeting.
