Members of the Nonnewaug High School Book Club hosted local young adult fantasy author Ashley Mathias Root for a book chat and signing yesterday in the LMC. Students stopped in to learn about Root and her fantasy novel "The Drowning Daze of Astraea." It was a terrific discussion centered on the writing process and how Root developed the idea for this book, the first in her young adult fantasy series.
