The Nonnewaug High School Athletes' Council members welcomed Rebecca Santoli, Executive Director of the Tommy Fund, on November 15, to present her with a check for the money raised during the NHS Homecoming "Go Gold for Childhood Cancer" initiative. 

Between the sale of gold items and the bake sales during Homecoming week, the NHS Go Gold raised $1,301 for childhood cancer. Members of the Athletes' Council also encouraged students and staff to participate in the Tommy Fund Hats for Hope, in which people can donate $1 to wear a hat to school on the Gold Out Day.
